Buoyed by the central government's efforts to boost domestic consumption, the consumer goods sector has been more resilient than other industries in the past two quarters with companies in the sector more willing to hire.
In terms of salary, there is a very noticeable increase in the recent few years in the consumer, sales and marketing sectors, especially compared to industries such as manufacturing, where growth is relatively stagnant.
According to the 2013 Salary Guide composed by Kelly Services China, positions in the fast moving consumer goods sector, sales and marketing positions remain China's "hot" jobs.
