Xi to attend Boao Forum
President Xi Jinping will attend the opening ceremony of the 2013 meeting of the Boao Forum for Asia and deliver a keynote speech, Foreign Ministry spokesman Hong Lei announced on Monday. The meeting in Boao, a coastal resort in South China's Hainan province, will take place from April 6 to 8, Hong said.

Six people were killed and 18 were missing on Monday after they were buried in a landslide caused by heavy rain on Indonesia's Java island, a disaster official said. "Heavy rains early this morning in West Bandung district triggered a landslide," national disaster management agency spokesman Sutopo Purwo Nugroho said.

Somali gunmen killed a female radio journalist in Mogadishu, the latest in a string of reporters murdered in the war-ravaged capital, colleagues and witnesses said on Monday. Two men shot dead Rahmo Abdukadir, who worked for the private Radio Abduwaq station, late on Sunday.
