China to provide dental equipment for Mozambique
The Chinese government and government of Mozambique on Feb 18 signed an agreement for the provision of medical equipment for Maputo Central Hospital. The equipment, worth $1.6 million, is for the dental section at the central hospital, the main health facility in the country, said Xinhua News Agency. The agreement was signed by Mozambique Health Minister Alexandre Manguele and Li Chunhua, the Chinese ambassador to Mozambique. "China would like to see the conditions of the Mozambican people improved," said the Chinese ambassador. Currently, a total of 17 Chinese doctors are helping their Mozambican counterparts technically in health issues. Last year, the Chinese government donated medical equipment twice to the Maputo military hospital under a military cooperation between the two nations.
