Double-digit growth reported

Qingdao's gross domestic product reached 730.21 billion yuan in 2012, up 10.6 percent from the previous year. Its exports grew 3.6 percent to $40.82 billion and imports increased 5 percent to $32.39 billion. Incomes of urban and rural residents rose 12.5 percent and 13.1 percent respectively, faster than the GDP growth.
