A senior official in Hubei province has been placed under investigation by Party disciplinary inspectors from Beijing, Chinese media reported.
Wu Yongwen, 60, deputy head of the Standing Committee of the People's Congress of Hubei province, is being investigated by the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection - the Party's top anti-corruption body - over suspicions of taking bribes, having extramarital affairs and leading an indecent life, Hong Kong-based Ta Kung Pao newspaper quoted sources with provincial authorities as saying.
