Hard-line shift in Japanese politics 'worrying'
As Japan's three main parties outlined their electoral platforms ahead of next month's national poll, observers warned the increasingly radical promises of more military spending and tougher stances on territorial disputes have given rise to growing concerns among its neighbors.
The country's newly-born right-wing Japan Restoration Party unveiled its main campaign pledges on Thursday for the Dec 16 general election.
The main opposition Liberal Democratic Party had revealed its main policies on Nov 21, and the ruling Democratic Party of Japan on Nov 27.
