Authorities consider Postal Law amendment

China Daily | Updated: 2012-10-24 08:14

A draft amendment to Postal Law, which was scheduled for a reading on Tuesday, would legally authorize postal administrations under the provincial level to maintain supervision in line with the booming postal industry.

The draft amendment was submitted to the bimonthly session (scheduled from Tuesday to Friday) of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress.

The current Postal Law, amended in 2009, provides a two-tier postal system featuring administration at both the State Council and provincial levels.
