Alcan Cable, the wire and cable giant, said environmental and ecological protection is high on the company's agenda.

"Responsibilities for the environment and contributions to the ecology has played an indispensable role in Alcan Cable's development," said Alex Tham, managing director of Alcan Cable China, adding that Alcan Cable has insisted on the sustainability on environment, economy and social development since it was established more than 100 years ago.

As one of Rio Tinto's business units, Alcan Cable participates in the third China (Binhai Tianjin) International Eco-city Forum & Expo from Sept 21 to 25.
