Stricter no-smoking rules needed

Comment on "Smoking rule has little effect" (China Daily website, Sept 18)

Smokers harm not only their own health, but also the health of their family members, friends and even the entire society. The country spends an astronomical amount every year to treat smoking-related diseases. To save at least part of this amount, the government should impose the ban on smoking in public places more strictly.
