China currently has nearly 120,000 dental practitioners, up from 5,741 at the beginning of the country's reform and opening up, Wang Weizhen, an official from the Ministry of Health said on Tuesday. Wang said there are 18,520 dental hospitals nationwide and another 17,617 hospitals provide oral health services.
