Video: Modeling has taken Liu Wen from an amateur contest in Central China's Hunan province to the catwalks of Paris, Milan and New York. Liu, who lives in New York, met with China Daily on a beautiful summer afternoon in Central Park, sharing stories of her life and work as a supermodel.

Culture: A jade phoenix was unearthed in 1976 from the tomb of Fuhao in the ruins of the Shang Dynasty (c.16th century-11th century BC). It is the earliest jade phoenix found so far and also the most exquisite piece of all jade ornaments from the tomb.
