The Beijing Municipal Administration of Cultural Heritage said on the city government's micro blog on Tuesday that after netizens voiced concern over the smashed items, it sent experts to examine their authenticity. Results showed the porcelain was not real. An exhibit organized by a Beijing museum and World Collection, a Beijing TV program that evaluates ancient porcelain, became the subject of controversy after some people said most of the purportedly fake items were genuine.
