Jiangling-Isuzu joint venture

Domestic automaker Jiangling Motor and Japan's Isuzu Motor recently agreed to form a 50-50 joint venture to produce the Japanese automaker's pickups, light commercial vehicles and engines.

Requiring a total investment of 1.95 billion yuan, the joint venture facility is designed to have an annual production capacity of 100,000 vehicles and 200,000 engines. The deal is expected to get the green light from the government in the first half of next year.
