Beijing strongly condemns Damascus bombing

China strongly condemns Wednesday's suicide bombing in Syria and opposes all forms of terrorism and violence, Foreign Ministry Spokesman Hong Lei said on Thursday.

The spokesman made the comments in response to the suicide bombing that tore through the Syrian National Intelligence compound in the capital Damascus on Wednesday.

The attack killed senior Syrian officials including Defense Minister Dawood Rajaha, Interior Minister Mohammed Ibrahim al-Shaar as well as President Bashar al-Assad's brother in law.
