"Chongqing, sorry for bothering you."

Sun Fumin, director of Lichuan Tourism Bureau, in Hubei province, apologized to residents in neighboring Chongqing in his own statement to media. In early July, an ad slogan appeared on Chongqing's buses to promote Lichuan's cool climate: "Wo kao Chongqing," or, "I rely on Chongqing." The slogan triggered public outcry as the word kao is pronounced the same as a Chinese curse word.
