Alexander Litvinenko

Former Russian spy Alexander Litvinenko died three weeks after being poisoned by radioactive polonium-210 in November 2006.

Litvinenko was sent to a hospital after suffering from diarrhea and vomiting on Nov 1, 2006, and radioactive polonium was later discovered in his urine. He died on Nov 23 after his nerve center, heart, lungs and other organs were seriously harmed.
