Guangzhou R&F to sign Yakubu
Nigerian international Aiyegbeni Yakubu will arrive in China on a 2-year contract worth 5 million euros ($6.3 million) with Guangzhou R&F on Wednesday, local media has reported.
The 29-year-old striker has played in the English Premier League for nine years and scored 17 goals for Blackburn Rovers to become the fourth most effective scorer last season - behind Arsenal's Robin van Persie, Manchester United's Wayne Rooney and Sergio Aguero of Manchester City. However, Blackburn Rovers were relegated.
