APARTMENTS

Anti-corruption officials reportedly have found ownership certificates of 17 apartments as well as 30 million yuan ($4.8 million) in the office and home of Yang Aijin, former vice-mayor of Fuzhou, capital of Fujian province. Yang, 63, has been in the post of vice-mayor for 10 years and was mainly in charge of work related to agriculture and civil affairs. He retired in 2010 and was put under investigation in April this year. It is said that Yang's problems came to light after a report from a businessman surnamed Lin, who had a dispute with Yang's son over profit sharing in a funeral business.
