Three teachers from Nanjing University of Chinese Medicine drove 250 km from Nanjing to Dongtai, Jiangsu province, to hold a graduation thesis defense for Feng Jianmei at her home on June 9. Feng entered the university in 2008 and was diagnosed with Ewing's sarcoma, a malignant cell tumor, in 2011. She had to lie in bed at home since the beginning of this year as the tumor developed. Feng insisted she finish her graduation thesis despite the great pain. Li Zhanglong, one of the teachers, said they asked several questions and the defense lasted about 10 minutes.
