The annual Eco-Forum Guiyang is expected to once again bring Southwest China's Guizhou province to the forefront of environmental studies.
The three-day forum, which has been held every year since 2009 in Guiyang, Guizhou province's capital, will begin on July 26. More than 1,000 scholars and officials are expected to attend the event, according to the forum's organization committee.
This year's theme is "Green Economy and Inclusive Growth in a Transformational World" with nearly 30 conferences set up to discuss sustainable development, food safety, cultural development issues and modern agriculture.
