Chinese among dead in Lagos crash

A firefighter is clouded in smoke as he tries to extinguish a fire after an airliner crashed into a neighborhood in Ishaga district, an outskirt of Nigeria's commercial capital Lagos, on Sunday. There were no survivors among the 153 people on board the domestic passenger aircraft, an official of the National Emergency Management Agency told Reuters. Akintunde Akinleye / Reuters

The Chinese embassy in Nigeria confirmed on Monday the identification of the six Chinese passengers, as emergency workers continued searching for victims at the site where an airliner plunged to earth, killing all 153 aboard.
