Stop worshipping foreign brands
A foreign bank in Guangzhou has admitted that it gave priority to applicants for an intern job if they had a 500,000 yuan ($79,000) deposit in the bank. The bank said it is "human nature" to give priority to rich clients' children, which stinks of greed, says an article in Guangzhou Daily. Excerpts:
The behavior of the foreign bank in Guangzhou has brought to light another unspoken rule. Although such practices are improper, many people have already "bought" their jobs in this way. It is not only the bank in question that should be criticized, other banks no doubt also use such a "money standard" when recruiting graduates.
