Charity-themed July expo for Shenzhen

A charity-themed expo is expected to run from July 12 to 14 in Shenzhen, Xinhua News agency reported, citing Xu Qin, mayor of the city.

Called Development, Integration and Transparency, the fair aims to showcase the fruits of the development of the public good and philanthropy in China, as well as to demonstrate China's resolution to boost transparency in its charity sector, which took a hit as scandals unfolded last year that brought the sector's credibility into question.
