'Suzhou style' tops nation in tourist survey

Suzhou had the top score of 50 cities in a national tourist satisfaction survey last year by the China Tourism Academy, a specialized institute at the China National Tourism Administration.

"The result shows Suzhou's achievements in improving its quality of tourism and related public services," said He Qiongfeng, who heads tourist satisfaction research at the CTA.

According to information released at the Suzhou Tourism Development Conference in February, the city's total tourism revenue reached 119.6 billion yuan ($18.97 billion) last year, up 17 percent over 2010.
