Cooperation on water

On its debut as a full member, China has made a deep impression at the ongoing World Water Forum this week.

The six-day event, which opened in Marseille, southern France on Monday, is an ideal platform for the country to forge international cooperation and exchanges to jointly tackle water challenges with international and regional partners.

On Wednesday, Minister of Water Resources Chen Lei, head of the Chinese delegation, signed the Joint Statement upon Establishment of China-Europe Water Platform. It marks the establishment of a long-term cooperation platform between China and Europe.
