Accidents renew debate over school bus safety conditions

Firefighters and civilian volunteers try to rescue survivors of a traffic accident that happened on Saturday in Daozhen county, Southwest China's Guizhou province. Thirteen people were killed and 22 were injured when the bus they were traveling in blew a tire, causing the vehicle to swerve off the road. China News Service

ZHENGZHOU - Two accidents on Friday involving vans carrying commuting students, in which at least three children were killed, have brought school bus safety back into the spotlight.
