When scammers offered the general manager of the CCTV Spring Festival Gala Ha Wen free tickets to the show, an Apple laptop and more than 80,000 yuan ($12,700), they picked on the wrong lady.
She knew full well there was no such lucky prize and posted messages on her micro blog telling anyone who would listen to be careful of falling for some golden lines without reading between them.
"It seems the tricksters are really everywhere, and I just caught them out red-handed," she was reported as saying on Tom.com.
