Vagrant children found, sent home

Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region had welcomed home more than 1,330 vagrant children as of mid-January as a result of a drive to find them in other parts of the country, but their care remains a problem for the local government, Xinhua News Agency reported.

The region began searching across the country for vagrant children in April 2011, with promises to bring them home and send them to school.
