Iran 'saddened'
Iran on Tuesday offered its "condolences and sympathy" to the DPRK over the death of Kim Jong-il, via a message sent through the respective foreign ministries, ISNA news agency reported.
The exact contents of the message sent by Iranian Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi to his DPRK counterpart were not immediately known.
