International companies have rushed to China to benefit from its rapid economic development, and some have experienced rapid development of their own both within China and internationally.
But for many years some also suffered losses from infringing products after entering the Chinese market. It can happen whether the business is in the formative stage and just introducing its brand to the Chinese market or if it is well established and setting up factories as major manufacturing bases for global development.
Rouse & Co International, a London-based IP consulting firm, entered the Asian market in 1993 with customers mainly from Europe and the United States. Its main business has transformed over the years.
