The Yichun International Women's Curling Invitational Tournament started on Friday at the newly built Yichun Curling Gymnasium. The event attracted such top teams as Canada, world champion China, Sweden, the United States, Denmark and Switzerland, plus the China National Junior Team and the local Yichun team. Eight teams will play a round-robin series, with the top four reaching the semifinals. Yichun, known as China's forestry capital, is making curling the calling card of its sports and economic development. Provided to China Daily
