Summit to strengthen regional relations

BEIJING - State Councilor Dai Bingguo will attend the 4th Greater Mekong Subregion (GMS) Summit in Myanmar's capital Naypyitaw early next week, Foreign Ministry spokesman Liu Weimin said on Thursday.

Prominent figures from the six GMS member countries - China, Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, Thailand and Vietnam - will attend the meeting on Monday and Tuesday, according to the ministry.

Thai Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra and Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen will be among the participants.
