DAMASCUS, Syria - Syria blames its months-long unrest and growing pressure on the nation on countries that disagree with its support for some resistance groups in the Middle East, groups considered by those countries as "terrorists".

On the other hand, Syrian opposition groups, including the Syrian National Council (SNC), regard showing a different attitude to this issue as a trump card to garner support from foreign countries.
