Construction of 10m affordable housing units under way

BEIJING - After China has met its target of starting construction on 10 million affordable housing units this year, more emphasis should be laid on construction quality and fair distribution, Vice-Premier Li Keqiang said.

All construction materials used in affordable housing should follow the same standards of commercial housing, Li said, adding that constant checks on affordable housing construction must be carried out.
