Bookings to reserve the Hong Kong version of Apple Inc's iPhone 4S opened on Nov 4 but the stock soon ran out. The price for a 16G iPhone 4S is HK$5,088 ($654.92) and for 32G it is HK$5,888 ($757.89). Each customer could place an order for as many as 10 units. Shipment will take place in two to four weeks. Micro-bloggers are in heated discussion about the price of the Hong Kong version of the iPhone 4S.

LIBRA-CHUHAI: The Hong Kong version of the iPhone 4S is much cheaper than the mainland version, almost close to half the price of the latter.

PRINCESSZHANG: I want to have it so much. Is there anyone who could bring me an iPhone 4S from Hong Kong? I will thank him a lot.

LIUZHUONENGSUNNYEOS: Shortly after the Hong Kong official website of Apple announced that the iPhone 4S was out of stock, many domestic distributors trading in smuggled commodities on the Chinese mainland claimed to have enough stockpiles for sale. I think most people will know how it works behind these two events.

China's biggest PC maker, Lenovo Group, announced on Nov 2 the resignation of its founder, Chairman Liu Chuanzhi. It appointed Yang Yuanqing as his successor. Yang will take the dual roles of chairman and chief executive officer.

DLPAIGUGE: In China, I think the entrepreneur who hasn't turned a fast-growing company into a family-controlled firm is quite respectable.

WEBSTORY: Don't leave at this time, Liu Chuanzhi. You're the person who succeeded in acquiring IBM. Please resign after you have finished the acquisition of Apple Inc.

SOULISCALLING: I hope that Yang can bring more innovations and possibilities to Lenovo.

XINGJIA_ZHANG: After so many years of experience and preparation, I think Yang is ready to take his place. I think the prospects for Lenovo are good.
