Aiming for efficiency

Shanghai Mayor Han Zheng aims to make his government one of the most transparent and efficient nationwide.

Efforts will be made to strengthen government information disclosure and make the use of public funds, power, resources and services "highly transparent".

Administrative examinations and approval will also be fast-tracked and administrative charges cut to further lower the burden on business.
