Despite challenges, a strong year for machine components

The machine components industry needs to be innovative and develop high-end products to maintain sustainable growth, said Wang Changming, executive vice president of China General Machine Components Industry Association.

Wang said the sector's revenues have increased 15 percent in 2011, with sales of more complex components growing steadily.

Overseas sales have reached $4.8 billion to date this year, an increase of 39.1 percent over the same time in 2010.
