Microblog insights

Topic 1: Apple Inc co-founder and former chief executive officer Steve Jobs died on Oct 5 at the age of 56 from pancreatic cancer. US President Barack Obama called him one of the greatest US innovators. Jobs' death aroused a massive outpouring of comments and tributes among micro-bloggers.

ZHUANGZHONGDESHE: There was widespread, spontaneous mourning by people who bought Apple products at the news of Steve Jobs' death in a way seldom seen before. I'd say it is Jobs' human-oriented design philosophy that moved people rather than Apple Inc's innovation and high-tech workmanship that changed the world.

YELENGWUSHENG: As an entrepreneur, Jobs has become a hero and an icon among a large cross-industry, cross-class and cross-border crowd of people. He will not only be forever in people's memories but has also already become a legend.

JERRY-CARL: After a long break from National Day holidays, I got to know that Jobs passed away when I turned on my computer. How far can Apple go in the post-Jobs' era?

Topic 2: During the National Day holidays, many people chose to go to the cinema and shared their opinions about the movies they watched on micro blogs. The movie It's Love is one of the most talked about in that it combines an ancient traditional Chinese story with strong, special visual effects.

SADIENAICHA: Fahai (a character in the film) becomes more human in the movie than in previous works.

DANDANHUANLEDAN: I think It's Love is a good one to watch.

LIAOKAIOPEN: I think Jet Li and Wen Zhang performed well in the movie. It would be a waste of time to watch it if these two actors were not in it.

MESTRYCHAOCHAO: Fahai becomes the leading role in It's Love. It's not a love movie. It is a kungfu movie with special effects. Bai Suzhen and Xu Xian, the central romantic characters in the original story, end up playing supporting roles in the film. The development of the plot is too fast. By the way, I like Fahai and hate Bai Suzhen.
