The Music City
Harbin, with its bitterly cold winters, is often labeled The Ice City. In 2010, however, it was named Music City by UNESCO for its unique musical heritage. On Oct 10, more than 100 singers will hold a symphony concert, The Rhythm of Songhua River, in Beijing. The event will include Chinese folk songs and eight new compositions.
