BEIJING - China is willing to further deepen military trust and exchanges with Japan within the framework of a strategic and mutually beneficial partnership, the Defense Ministry said on Wednesday.
Ministry spokesman Geng Yansheng made the remarks at a monthly press meeting in response to a question about the status of the China-Japan military relationship since the new Japanese cabinet took office earlier this month.
Japanese Prime Minister Yoshihiko Noda has chosen a cabinet formed by hawkish politicians claiming to be tough on China.
