Ulrich Walker on five years in China and future plans

Having worked for Daimler AG for almost 35 years, Ulrich Walker jokes about himself as a Daimler guy through and through. And it's this very Daimler guy who has successfully brought Daimler Northeast Asia (DNEA) to where it stands today, having achieved so much within the space of just five years in charge.

It was November 2006 when Walker, the then-head of smart GmbH and former board member at Mitsubishi Motors Corporation, was appointed chairman and CEO of DNEA, becoming responsible for all the company's operations and joint ventures in the Chinese mainland, Hong Kong, Taiwan and the Republic of Korea.
