Brazil taxes could localize factories

More Chinese automakers could be motivated to build factories in Brazil following changes in the country's tax policy that imposes a tariff of 30 percent on imported vehicles from September 16.

The policy also requires vehicles sold in Brazil to have more than 65 percent of their content made in Brazil or in fellow South American countries such as Argentina, Uruguay and Paraguay.
