Guinean president praises bilateral investment, ties

BEIJING - China is willing to elevate its relationship with Guinea to a higher level, President Hu Jintao told his visiting Guinean counterpart Alpha Conde in Beijing on Friday.

Conde is on his first visit to China since taking office in December 2010. Before coming to Beijing, Conde attended the World Economic Forum's Summer Davos from Wednesday to Friday in Northeast China's city of Dalian.

"The friendly cooperation between China and Guinea sets a model for South-South cooperation," Hu said. "China is willing to work with Guinea to elevate the two countries' relationship to a new high."
