Ban holds 'global conversation' with netizens on key international issues

BEIJING - People around the world on Tuesday had the opportunity to share an hour online with UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon to discuss international issues they care about.

Ban was scheduled to have a one-hour live "global conversation" with the public through social media networks starting at 11 am local time in New York, according to a press release posted on the UN website.

The event was to be streamed live on Facebook, Livestream, Tumblr and UN Webcast, while Twitter and Weibo have also been used to submit questions, it said.
