Official's tantrum at son's school costs him his job

China Daily | Updated: 2011-09-14 08:02

ZHENGZHOU - An official with the legislature in Xiangcheng city, Henan province, has been relieved of his post after allegedly causing an uproar at a middle school, media reported on Tuesday.

Liu Jianli, an official with the Xiangcheng people's congress, had been accused of driving into the premises of his son's school on Sept 6, and verbally insulting the school principal for nearly an hour.

He allegedly crashed his car into the school's playground, producing a loud noise, and condemned the school for failing to meet his earlier request to arrange a new seat for his near-sighted son.
