Depth of vision

Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts, one of the world's premier luxury hotel groups, in partnership with a group of media outlets, announced its second "My Shangri-La" photography competition in Beijing recently.

Following the first contest in 2009, the bi-annual competition explores the theme of "Love and Harmony". Amateur and professional photographers are invited to capture the essence of Shangri-La through the camera lens while reflecting on their personal perception of love and harmony.

Collecting the photographic works will be ongoing through September till mid October. A panel of renowned judges, including move director Tian Zhuangzhuang, Wang Chuan, professor of the China Central Academy of Fine Art and photographer Feng Hai, will select the winning photographs. Prize-winners will be announced at a grand gala dinner in December.
