Clouds hover, mercury falls

BEIJING - Light rain is expected to hit the city on Saturday, with temperatures set to drop lower than normal, according to the meteorological bureau.

Fu Zongyu, one of the bureau's weather forecasters, said the city will experience a lengthy period of rainfall, lasting from Saturday morning to evening. Temperatures will reach as high as 22 C.

"The city may also see overcast or rainy weather next Monday, the day of the Mid-Autumn Festival, while the weather on Sunday will be largely cloudy," Fu said.
