NBS revises 2010 GDP figure
China revised the GDP growth rate in 2010 to 10.4 percent, increasing from the previously released 10.3 percent, the National Bureau of Statistics said on Wednesday.
The 2010 GDP figure was revised to 40.12 trillion yuan ($6.27 trillion), compared with the earlier figure of 321.9 billion yuan, attributed to higher growth in manufacturing and service industries.
Tax incentives for materials
China will increase investment and offer tax breaks to raise the annual output of its advanced materials industry to 2 trillion yuan ($313 billion) by 2015, said an official with the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) on Wednesday.
The target figure is about 5 percent of China's 2010 gross domestic output. The 12th Five-Year Plan (2011-2015) for the advanced materials industry was approved by the MIIT last month.
German exports to China to grow
Germany is expected to export products and services worth 85 billion euros ($120 billion) to China in 2012, according to a forecast from the Association of German Chambers of Industry and Commerce (DIHK).
Germany's yearly exports to China almost tripled within the past five years from $26 billion in 2005 to $71 billion in 2010, according to the DIHK.
Google regains ICP license
Google Inc said China's government renewed the company's Internet license.
"We can confirm that the government has renewed our ICP license," Google said on Wednesday, without elaborating. The company owns the world's most popular search engine.
