Three eastern cities to form powerful industrial bloc

FUZHOU - Xiamen, Zhangzhou and Quanzhou cities in East China's Fujian province are planning to jointly build an industrial cluster to better seek common business interests.

Local authorities said the three cities plan to start trial cooperation in manufacturing some time in 2012.

The cities plan to cooperate by sharing their advantages in manufacturing semiconductor lighting, telecommunications and photoelectric products, said an official close to the issue.
