Xiamen to shine at trade fair with every guest promised a 'marvelous' gift by mayor

The city of Xiamen, in Fujian province, which is holding the 15th China International Fair For Investment and Trade (CIFIT), in September, is giving priority to manpower, capital and materials to prepare for the event, the city's mayor said.

City authorities have formed a committee to oversee various groups to see that security, guest services, medical services, transportation, and promotion are adequate, according to Mayor Liu Keqing, who spoke at a news conference in Beijing in July.

"CIFIT enhances the city's image, environment and quality of life," Liu added. "With this fair, Xiamen will sum up all the experiences and knowledge of the past to guarantee its success."
